AthletEdge has worked in the Sports Medicine and Sports Performance world for more than 20 years. We have in depth, personal experience in both areas and understand how they complement each other. Owner, Josh Lamont, has worked as a Graduate Student at The University of Delaware, training 21 D-1 athletic teams, worked as a Strength and Conditioning Coach and Athletic Trainer for 4 seasons in Professional Baseball along with 3 winters in the off-season, and has worked with Middle School and High School athletes in Chicago, Phoenix, AZ, and Baltimore educating, rehabilitating and training.
Working with athletes of all levels, especially youth athletes, has allowed us to witness the sport specialization that is taking place as well as youth athletes playing for more than 1 team at a time. We don't believe either of these will stop any time soon, but both can lead to a decrease in performance and an increase in the chance of injuries.
That can change with proper training and recovery!
Training needs to be age and mentally appropriate, following a thorough assessment of physical abilities and deficiencies, while including recovery and education for coaches, parents, and the athletes on topics related to training and sports medicine.

Our Performance Specialists have worked with all levels of athletes in creating appropriate programs that improve athletic abilities such as speed, jumping, 1st step acceleration, power, and agility, while at the same time assisting athletes in decreasing their chance of injury. We will come to your home or your teams training site, or you can train at our studio.
With years of success and experience, we are capable of analyzing your body and creating a fitness plan that will help you reach your goals. We make it convenient for you to accomplish your fitness goals by coming to your home or place of work, or, if you choose, you can train at our studio.
